How we score

We read the price guides and terms that auto transport companies publish, plus federal rules on eCFR. Every data point links to its source and shows when we checked it. We do not book shipments, collect reviews or publish customer opinions. We compare only what is written.

Registration numbers come from the company sites. Check them yourself on the FMCSA website before you pay.

Formula

The score runs from 1 to 10: 1 + 9 × the weighted sum of the criteria below, each scored from 0 to 1, capped at 9.5 because published terms alone cannot prove a perfect service. Unknown values get a low neutral score, never a guess.

• Registration shown (25%). An MC or USDOT number on the company site scores 1. We take it from the company site and do not check it with the regulator, so verify it yourself.
• Payment timing (25%). Nothing due until a carrier is assigned scores highest.
• Price guarantee (20%). A stated guarantee scores 1, a limited one 0.6, no guarantee 0.
• Cancellation terms (15%). Published terms score 0.8. Unpublished terms score 0.3.
• Insurance details (15%). Published details score 1. Unpublished details score 0.

How this site makes money
